i told you i love cats

Cat Power has been the soundtrack to my life the last little while. It's the only music that seems to fit my mood.

The recently released Jukebox is frontwoman Chan Marshall's eighth record, and although it's not my favorite of her work it still has that soulful, slightly depressing Cat Power-ness that brings joy to my soul. If you're like me, a cover album is an instant turn-off. But, for my dear Chan-Chan, I was willing to give it a shot.


ALSO...Chan Marshall is making her film debut in My Blueberry Nights. It's not released in the US until April, but with Jude Law as the lead, I shall be clearing my calendar well in advance.

I know he's a dirtbag, but he's just so PRETTY.
